Today [or rather, today of an hour ago D:] marks the twins' 5th year in the house.

A little over five years ago I hated, absolutely hated the El headmold. I couldn't stand the botoxed looking lips, the same goofy face shared between all of them, the same skirt boys done over and over.

And over.

But then I decided to bring my chaotic Demon home, and soon after he arrived I knew I wouldn't be able to keep his Angel from him for long and so my search for Fuan's resin face began. Because my choices were so limited at the time I began looking at the El headmold again, and after seeing one blank, I decided I'd give the sculpt another chance.

Fuan's head arrived in late December of 05, damaged, scuffed and marked. I spent many hours sanding gouges and restoring what hadn't been disclosed in his sale. Once he gained himself a faceup -the third I'd ever done [and the same one he has to this very day, I might add], I immediately fell in love. I knew instantly that Jenova's former Angel had come home.

Well he wasn't about to allow me to keep his brother from him for long. Fanuel, who started design as an intended tanning El, was to be a practice head for my first ever scarring so that once I attained his darker self, I'd have the technique down.

The moment he got his scars on however, everything changed. The instant his angry!brow was given to him, I knew that head was my snarkbeast, that he could be no other. In that moment, Fanuel shed his intended tanning shell and became his pasty, blue undertoned self. Fuan's twin brother, the entire reason he's now trapped in that human body, had also come home.

These two have been through a lot over the years... as characters they've grown, hated, loved and became so much more than I ever thought they were capable of. I adore the both of them now just as much as I did when I completed them back in 2006 and no matter how old they get or how yellow they'll turn, I'll adore my Angelic twin brothers until the end of time.

Two Angels, one now human, both in love with the very Demons they'd been created to hate and kill. Happy 5th birssday Fuan and Fanuel, here's to many more <3

Fffff.
Fanuel actually looks quite pleased.
That might be the one thing i absolutely adore about this entire piece. I don't think I've ever seen him look that happy.

Great picture! I love the red, black and white colour scheme. However I can vouch for the glory of skirt-boy Els, owning one myself... he just turned out that way :D lol don't knock it til you try it! :XD:
